Born in the Great Lakes state of Michigan, Brandon relocated to Florida to study at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg. Here he fell in love with freediving and spearfishing in the Gulf of Mexico. His experiences eventually led him to become a certified instructor in 2017.
The kelp forests and rocky coasts of California were stunning enough to bring him Monterey, where he continues to teach and spearfish guide in the local area. Brandon is passionate about living an ocean to table lifestyle, immersed in nature as much as possible.
Safety and performance minded, Brandon teaches regularly at Bamboo Reef as well as throughout the United States and internationally. His motto? “Always be learning, a student mindset keeps us humble and sharp.”
