Sorry you haven't had any takers yet. It's a sign of the COVID times. I suggest you get in touch with Bamboo Reef dive shop in Monterey. They're a good group and may be able to link you up in a local capacity. Otherwise keep asking on this forum and once some folks get vaccinated it will pick back up. Good luck and dive safe.
It’s all good, totally understandable. I thought half their employees were on this site? Would’ve thought they would be kindly enough to reach out but still no word. Either way I’ll find a way to get in the water, safe dive!
It does seem like a lot of groups are meeting right now. I have found a few awesome mentors and it took a lot of work to find them. In my opinion (trigger warning), some of the more 'experienced' divers do not want to show new divers the ropes. I have another friend that stated, "I feel like they want to keep you out of the sport." It's not always the case with those divers, but it is hard to access them.
I'm not that experienced at all, but am open to share what I know and get you plugged into meeting some amazing divers. Feel free to DM me and let's shoot some fish.
That’s a no brainer 😂 its like that with any kind of fishing nobody is ever willing to show you the ropes or spots haha!
thanks bro but I’m not looking for mentors I know how to spearfish and dive just want more dive buddies and to be safer out on the water
