Hello all, I manage the technical services department of TechnipFMC Schilling Robotics in Davis Ca. We build robot submarines used for deep sea construction, research, and salvage all around the globe. I currently have positions open in my department for field support. This consists of working with the development engineers in our Davis office and traveling to and living on large boats where our equipment is installed to provide technical support and training to the operators. Common locations are Louisiana, UK, Norway, and Singapore. See the job description for a more thorough explanation of duties https://careers.hr.technipfmc.com/jobs/field-support-engineer-7447 . Skills we look for are a practical understanding for diagnostics of hydraulics, electronics, and/or software. I thought this group might have some capable folks who love the ocean and may not have known about our company. Feel free to ask me any questions or go ahead and follow the link and apply. I'm also open to giving tours if you're in the Davis area. Below is a picture of the equipment at sea.

Wow , the offer of a tour is amazing. I'd love to that. Perhaps we could get a few people together. I could go just about any day in June or July.
I'm game for a group tour. It would be in late June as I'm going on the Baja trip. Let me know if there is anyone else interested who's not on this string so I can get a number to expect. We should be operating a system in our test tank during that time too.
It looks like I can do Tuesday the 25 of June or Friday the 28th of June after 10am. Let me know who's interested and I'll set up a contact group outside of this forum.
Update: We're moving to end of July for scheduling. More updates to come.
Keep me posted. I'd love to come up for a tour.
Hey skyler you hire some one yet? I may have a few people to send your way!
We have hired a couple folks but looking for 1 more at least. There are also some other more standard work and entry level positions available which are a good way to get in the door and work your way tot he field. Here are the links to the postings on our corporate site. There are also various other jobs available but these are the hands on equipment types. Some list 4 year degrees but work experience can be equivelent. Thanks for the interest.
