Daniel’s First Attempt at Gyotaku

Daniel was on the water today and pulled up a Vermillion Rockfish using rod and reel. The most vibrant Verm he has ever seen! I'll agree, it is beautiful. I am glad he caught it using rod and reel instead of spearing. There was no exterior damage, all of the scales were still there. Perfect for printing. Daniel is a huge fan of gyotaku and has always wanted to have a print of his own. This was an incredibly fun session and I enjoyed catching up with him shooting the breeze about fishing and diving. I cannot wait for him to catch his halibut on pole spear. To see the notes and materials I used, I linked the google document below.
